A new edition of the Dakar Rally is over and the men from Mendoza who challenged the Arabian desert put an end to their performances with disparate results but knowing that they gave themselves to the fullest. Orly Terranova, with his fourth place overall in cars, and Francisco Moreno, second in quads, were the most outstanding of the legion.

The Bahrain Raid Xtreme rider achieved his best personal result, showed that his driving quality is still intact and confirmed that the decision to join this team was very successful. To his position is added the victory in the sixth stage, which reaffirms him as the highest national benchmark in the car category.

Sebastián Halpern was in eighth position with the MINI, doing a very remarkable job considering that his unit did not have the regulatory modifications of the T1+ and yet he struggled to stay in the Top Ten. Lucio Álvarez, meanwhile, finished 18th but will surely have a bitter taste for what he could have been and was not. Juan Cruz Yacopini was 20th.

Moreno’s is really impressive. The one from Tupungato made his debut in quads and as the days went by he established himself among the best in the specialty. He made the most of the virtues of the unity that the Drag’On Rally Team gave him and when he pressed he jumped to second place and closed a participation similar to that achieved by Halpern in the 2011 edition.

Diego Noras, for his part, completed his first Dakar in the 53rd position while Mattías Notti did so in the 96th position in the motorcycle general standings. In the light prototype, Brujo Jacomy (navigating Thomas Bell) finished in seventh position in the category while Ricardo Torlaschi (with Sebastián Guayasamín) completed the test after rejoining.
